Nature and Scope

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our Skilled Nursing Facility slated for later this year and are eager to welcome new team members. We anticipate this position will begin in the fall of 2025. While we strive to extend job offers and fill roles for this new service as soon as possible, please be aware that start dates may be adjusted if there are any changes to the opening schedule.

 

The Registered Dietitian (RD) provides food and nutrition services to residents.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

 

 

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 6 years of relevant experience. 

Compensation range:

  • $52.14 - $66.54

Job Status / Shift Information

  • Per Diem
  • Flexible schedule available for some remote work .

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Contribute to nutrition assessment, intervention and monitoring
  • Minimum Data Set (MDS) patient health questionnaire
  • Care Area Assessment (CAA)
  • Nutrition education, under the supervision of the RD
  • Menu and recipe management
  • Food service management

Responsibilities

  • Completes and documents nutrition screening of resident on admission, according to Title 22 and health safety codes for California.
  • Uses medical record and interviews with resident/family to collect food and nutrition intake information (e.g., current and previous diets, nutrition support, meal and snack patterns, medical food/nutritional supplements, typical foods and beverages, cultural and religious preferences, and food allergies and intolerances), and reviews for factors that affect health conditions and nutritional risk
  • Documents nutrition-related data and resident/family interactions in medical record or electronic medical record.
  • Communicates with medical staff as needed to obtain or clarify information to guide nutrition assessment and care plan.
  • Modifies resident’s plan of care as needed.

Child Care:

  • PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application, our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved, we will start the enrollment process.
