Nature and Scope

 We are excited to open our Skilled Nursing Facility and welcome the residents late summer / early fall of 2025. We currently expect this position to begin work in early July 2025. While we aim to secure job offers to fill positions for this new service as soon as possible, please note that start dates may be adjusted if the opening schedule changes.

 

This position assists the Activities Director in establishing a program of activities that is stimulating and that fosters a positive atmosphere through leisure activities that meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual and social needs of residents both inside and outside the Community.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

 

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 30 pay increments on our pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience. 

Compensation range:

  • $21.67 - $30.89

Job Status / Shift Information

Available shifts:

  • Two (2) Full-Time Day Shift
  • Two (2) Full-Time Night Shift

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in Long Term Care

Education: 

  • Current California License as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Current CPR Certification

Knowlede, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good communication skills and ability to read, write and follow written instructions in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive history of patience, compassion and courtesy when dealing with residents and others
  • Flexibility and creativity to meet the needs of the resident
  • Some lifting, pushing involved in setting up for activities and transporting residents
  • May be exposed to variety of weather conditions on scheduled outings

Responsibilities

  • Communication-clearly, honestly, and respectfully presents ideas, information, and viewpoints both verbally and in writing and encourages others to do the same. Listens actively and seeks to understand others; Listens carefully and attentively; responds to issues raised by others in a timely manner; keeps others informed about things that affect them.
  • Always demonstrates a professional behavior, both when on duty and as a representative of the hospital outside of normal work hours.
  • Work directly with internal staff including management, registered and non-registered staff
  • Interact closely with residents, family members, volunteers and members of the community
  • Implement and evaluate both individual and group recreation and leisure programs, including outings, based on assessed needs and as assigned by the Activities Director

Child Care:

  • PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application, our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved, we will start the enrollment process.
