Nature and Scope

The Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper) maintains assigned areas in the hospital and/or dental/medical clinics in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Responds to special requests for cleaning or assistance and maintains a smooth flow of work. The Environmental Services Technician is cross-trained in all areas and facilities of PDH. Also you will be assisting in  Courier responsibilities which include the transporation of medical charts, files, x-rays, laboratory specimens, equipment, financial records and paychecks as well as other needed supplies between the Quincy and Greenville campus.

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience

Compensation Range:

  • $18.32-$23.38 / hour 

 

Job Status / Shift Information

Part-Time, 12 hour shifts on the weekend from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Current CA Driver's License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals, solutions, and procedures as relates to a health care facility
  • Communicate in the English language effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

 

Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum

 

Responsibilities

  • Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedure. Loads service cart and transports to work area as needed.
  • Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solution.
  • High dusts vents, cabinets and other furniture
  • Deliver and pick up confidential documents containing protected health information, patient’s medical records, x-rays, lab samples/reports as directed
  • Maintains the specimen transport tracking process and the medical waste transport log sheet.

Child Care:

    • PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years.
