Nature and Scope

The RN Clinical Educator will enhance the clinical competency of nursing staff within our Critical Access Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility. This role is critical in developing and implementing educational programs, facilitating quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring effective onboarding of new nursing personnel. The Clinical Educator will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care through continuous education and training.

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience

Compensation Range:

  • $56.98 - $81.25 / hour

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must possess an RN California License
  • Must possess a DSD Certification or willing to obtain within two (2) years of hire
  • Must be an ACLS and PALS instructor or willing to obtain within one (1) year of hire

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director, and motivator
  • Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively

Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, in-services, and ongoing training sessions for RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify and implement quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new nursing staff and provide ongoing mentorship and support.
  • Create and revise educational programs based on feedback and outcomes to align with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Organize and facilitate annual skills fairs for staff skill enhancement.

Child Care:

  • PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years.
