Nature and Scope

The Cardiopulmonary Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing staff in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. This role includes developing and implementing clinical protocols, maintaining departmental compliance, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience. 

Compensation Range:

  • $ 55.59 - $79.25 / hour

Sign on Bonus:

  • $10,000.00

Housing Stipend:

  • We provide three months of paid housing or $1,200.00 / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

Experience:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in cardiopulmonary services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in cardiopulmonary care.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Must have relevant training, experience or current competence in care of all ages in regards to all aspects of respiratory therapy

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative direction to cardiopulmonary services to ensure that programs, policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
  • Interviews and hires all new employees, and ensures that orientation, continuing education and in-service education is provided to all departmental personnel.
  • Supervises subordinates in a skilled manner to assure adherence to policies, problems, standards of care and quality assurance programs.
  • Prepares and monitors capital, personnel, and supply budgets for cost centers enumerated above.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and inspections.
  • Investigates and resolves grievances and facilitates the resolution of issues/problems with employees.

Child Care:

  • PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application, our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved, we will start the enrollment process.
