Nature and Scope

 An exciting opportunity to join a growing rural hospital affiliated physical and occupational therapy center. The Physical Therapist (PT) will provide/coordinate services for our acute/swing bed patients in the hospital setting as well as in our outpatient setting. PT must have provision of assessment and evidence-based treatments, skill in the wide range of basic evaluation instruments, ability to modify and/or adapt treatment techniques to improve outcomes, participation in PI/QA programs, participation in departmental meetings, supervision of PTA\aid, as needed, and participation in promoting occupational therapy to the hospital, community, local and outside referrals/providers. 

Location

We are located 2077 E. Main Street Quincy, CA 95971 and 127 Crescent St C, Greenville, CA 95947. You will be traveling between both offices. 

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience

 

Compensation Range:

$64.36 - $91.76 / hour

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy required. A master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution, passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE). Compliant with state regulatory requirements. Must hold valid license from Physical Therapy Board of California. A valid BLS for healthcare provider certification, approved by the American Heart Association.

 

Experience:

Acute skilled nursing or outpatient settings preferred. 2 to 3 years’ experience as a physical therapist experience preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Compassionate and attentive to detail. Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices. Ability to solve problems independently. Excellent analytical and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.
  • Treats patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function to maintain maximum performance.
  • Records and reports to the physician the patients reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Educates patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
  • Attends rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations

Child Care:

PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years.
