Nature and Scope

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.  The APP is responsible for the assessment, medical case management, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and referral of clinic patients seen at the North Fork Office, Quincy Office or Indian Valley Office. The APP plans patient care using skills specific to his/her individual training and experience and works under established protocols.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience

 

Compensation Range:

$68.17 - $97.19 / hour

 

Sign on Bonus:

$25,000.00

 

Housing Stipend:

We provide three months of paid housing or $1,200.00 / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment

 

Job Status / Shift Information

Full-Time on Weekdays

 

Qualifications

Education:

Must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner program that meets the standards of the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) in California or a graduate from a physician assistant program that meets the standards of the Physician Assistant Committee of the Medical Board of California.  Must be licensed in California. Current CPR card.

 

Experience: 

Graduation from a nurse practitioner program which meets the standards of the California BRN or physician assistant program that meets the standards of the Physician Assistant Committee of the medical Board of California and completion of training consistent with the procedures to be performed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal skills with patients required. Must have knowledge of alphabetical filling system. Must have sufficient knowledge of verbal and English comprehension and expression to communicate clearly with callers, visitors and staff

 

Other Requirements: 

Must demonstrate responsibility for keeping credentials current and for updating his/her knowledge.  Must demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance.  Must have a friendly and helpful disposition toward visitors and staff.

 

Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to gather data pertinent to patient plan of care / assessment. Performs appropriate patient intake related to compliant, medical, social and family history.
  • Utilizes patient chart, hospital chart or emergency room records to gather data when needed.
  • Performs medication reconciliation and gathers information on adverse drug reactions, allergies and idiosyncratic reactions.
  • Performs appropriate physical assessments and has ability to complete thorough physical exam on male and female patients commensurate with licensure and to understand normal variations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of laboratory reports, x-ray reports and has ability to interpret their effect and influence upon patient care management.
  • Promotes health by considering preventative health measures.

Child Care:

PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application, our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved, we will start the enrollment process.
