As the Director of Nursing (DON), you’ll pave the way in upholding the highest standards of care delivery. The DON will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of care delivery. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of nursing services, ensuring adherence to regulations, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting a collaborative environment among the healthcare team. DON manages and/or leads the nursing department to meet legal, organizational, and medical staff guidelines in order that optimum health care delivery may be implemented. Organize, direct, plan, assess, implement, and lead the nursing services of the Plumas District Hospital including nursing facility.

Compensation Philosophy: We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience
Compensation Range: $59.75 - $85.19 / hour
Sign on Bonus: $10,000.00
Housing Stipend: We provide three months of paid housing or $1,200.00 / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment
Full-time and weekdays
Education | Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or related field. Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of California. |
Experience | Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility setting. |
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and experience in maintaining accreditation. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and evidence-based nursing practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse nursing team. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement. |
